After months of hype, the Apple HomePod is finally available for sale. Apple’s smart speaker will have a lot to live up to considering the success of its predecessors.
The Amazon Echo and Google Home smart speakers have been a hit all over the world. It was no surprise that Apple was going to step in and come up with its own design. Their answer was the HomePod.
Like its competitors, the HomePod is powered by its respective AI virtual assistant. Also, like its competitors, it will sport voice control as well as several different features such as being able to read podcasts and make jokes. As much as we all love a good laugh from Siri, many people did express concern over the HomePod.
The HomePod does not have quite as many features as its competitors -but it does have a rather high price tag and a lot of limitations. Aside from the comparatively high price, many people are worried about compatibility. Although this is no problem for a true Apple fan, one has to wonder if it is going to be worth it.
On the other hand, reviews thus far have had a lot of praise over the device’s performance ability. As time goes on we look forward to seeing how the HomePod launch goes.
