Google has just announced that Google Assistant is coming to Android Auto. The virtual assistant has revolutionized countless Android devices already, adding some useful features to compatible tech.
It may come as a surprise to many Android Auto users that the program was not already there. Previously, Android Autos were controlled by “ok Google” voice commands which can be a bit misleading.
Although this is one of the trademarks of Google Assistant, this was simply Google Voice software and not the AI itself. IN the future, full versions of Google Assistant will be used instead.
Google Assistant will add a lot of new features to Android Auto. It will be able to analyze your music preferences and even control smart appliances from the comfort of your car. Google has also stated that Google Assistant will make your Android Auto easier to use.
Along with their announcement, Google offered a demo as well. They demonstrated some exciting luxury features such as reserving a parking spot to get their Starbuck’s order.
Although there is still going to be a bit of a wait before Google Assistant comes to your car, this means we have a lot more time to hear about new and exciting features before its launch.
